Prompt.io Inc. is seeking an eager Sr. DevOps engineer to join our team and help us architect and build and maintain security and compliance solutions for our flagship products.

Prompt.io offers both a full-suite platform for commercial/enterprise use and a peer-to-peer texting platform deployed by organizations of all size and scale to engage and activate their list of supporters, volunteers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud-infrastructure in AWS.
• Leverage Chef for deployments, config and patch management and cluster automation.
• Manage infrastructure security and run periodic vulnerability scans to maintain standards and certifications with our customers and vendors.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Prompt.io server stack.
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer maintaining high availability systems.
• Experience building scalable infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Chef
• Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and networking concepts.
• Expertise in Operational best practices in security, data protection, encryption, etc.
• Familiarity and comfort working with Microservices and Cloud Computing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
