The role
Our DevOps Engineers manage the global infrastructure of the carsales network. You will be tasked with driving initiatives that will promote our cloud platform to world-class levels. You will be involved in a wide spectrum of projects encompassing different platforms, tools, and languages to deliver the best result possible. 

What You'll Do

  • Develop tools that will be used in our software delivery pipelines and observability systems.
  • Contribute to the architecture of our cloud platform with a focus on reliability, stability, monitoring, alerting and security.
  • Enhance the levels of automation and auto-remediation across our systems.
  • Provide on-call and after hours support as required on a rotational basis.
  • Promote DevOps principles and best-practices across the company.
  • Coach your peers and colleagues and collaborate with multiple teams.

Experience and qualifications

  • A strong grasp of at least one programming/scripting language.
  • Experience managing high performance/high availability web applications.
  • Exposure to CI/CD and automation.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Excellent Linux and Windows administration skills.
  • Experience with most of the following: build & deployment tools, containerization, load-balancers, message queues, configuration management, orchestration, CDN’s.
  • Appreciation of security standards and best practices.
